Version 1.2 Released – Virtual & Downloadable Product Orders, Product Add-ons, Gravity Forms Add-ons and more!

We’ve been listening closely to the feedback, and version 1.2 of the WooCommerce Zapier plugin has just been released, containing some nice new features and enhancements that were suggested by our users:

Virtual and Downloadable Product Support

An order for a Virtual & Downloadable product

An order for a Virtual & Downloadable product

In WooCommerce, orders that consist of only virtual & downloadable products skip the Processing order status and go straight to Completed.

This meant that the New Order trigger was not firing for orders that consist of only virtual & downloadable products.

As of version 1.2 of the WooCommerce Zapier Integration plugin, virtual & downloadable product orders are also sent to Zapier during the New Order trigger.

WooCommerce & Zapier integration recommended by Chris Lema

Chris Lema's Infusionsoft WordPress Integration article

Chris Lema’s Infusionsoft WordPress Integration article

Chris Lema has recently written about integrating InfusionSoft with a WordPress website, and one of his suggestions was to use Zapier to integrate your WooCommerce store with MailChimp, TaskRabbit, or Zendesk:

So say you have a WooCommerce site. You buy the Zapier Extension and every time a buyer makes a purchase, you can use that order as a trigger to place them into a MailChimp list (for post-purchase follow up).

You can also use Zapier to put a new task in TaskRabbit, so your virtual assistant can physically mail them a gift.

Want to use Zapier to also create a new user / organization in your Zendesk account? Done.

Chris’ article highlights the power and flexibility available to you when using Zapier and WooCommerce together.

In addition to these 3 services, you can also integrate WooCommerce with 238 other services.

So thanks to everyone for their support!

Some statistics

The table below shows that the New Order trigger is the most popular – more than 2/3 of all zaps are using this trigger.

Zap Trigger Breakdown Table

The New Customer trigger is the next most popular, followed by the more advanced New Order Status Change trigger.

We expected New Order to be the most popular trigger event (no surprises there), but we also thought the New Order Status Change trigger would be quite popular.

A Walk Through showing WordPress / Zapier Integration

A new walk through has been published by WP Beginner, stepping through the process of integrating Gravity Forms with a Google Docs spreadsheet:

How To Integrate Gravity Forms With Everything Using Zaper

This is a really detailed walk through. The Gravity Forms extensions uses the same webhook integration method that the WooCommerce extensions uses, so the whole process is very similar.

Now, just need to find some time to produce some nice video walk throughs for some of the WooCommerce integrations.
